  1. Whatever Apple is doing with Java… keep it up!

The application is 200% better than it was even 6 months ago.

Now… If I could just get Windows Media to play on the Mac without problems – for those sites that don’t have Real or QuickTime.

  2. Will this stop the Azureus kernel panics on Dual Processor Macs?

I deactivated 1 processor (with chud tools) in an attempt to stop the kernel panics, ok so far.

Does anyone know if this is a viable way to deal with the problem?

    TIA

  3. Note that the Java update is only for MacOS X 10.3.3+. My work machine is still running 10.2.8 which explains why it didn’t show up on S/W Update 🙁 I don’t know why hellstudios didn’t see the update on his computer.

  4. “…Azureus kernel panics…”

    Blue kernel panics?

What? Dual processor Macs, in my experience, are both extremely stable, and extremely sensitive to bad memory. Memory that tests ok, even works in other Macs can destablize a dual processor Mac, especially a G5. Every time I’ve had kernel panics that I could not explain or resolve with a clean install of the OS, removing and installing new memory has fixed the problem.
