oh hum another APPLE IS DYING STORY?
what really pisses me off is Mac people still using M$ IE, like moron, didn’t you hear M$ has discontinued IE on the Mac? Also about the still gapping “hole” on IE and Mac OS X?
Quit using the damm thing and use Safari, you’ll be happier. No more popup windows. Going blind? Increase the text size and sit back from the radiation CRT wasting your eyes and brain cells. Need to search? Google is right in the goddam toolbar.
Get a Mac and live the high life.
I only keep IE on my PB AL for certain school work. I hate IE and use Safari because it loads faster, I dont have to worry about popups. My wintel friends that use my computer occasionally dont understand about the upside of using a different browser. When I still had a PC I would only use Netscape. I have to have a browser that supports tabs, saves so much screen estate by not opening up new windows.
I just downloaded Safari, but I seem to not be able to switch my defaults between IE & Safari. IE quits on me. Does Safari wipe out some of my IE protocols? Also, I can’t seem to pull up any pdf’s thru adobe in Safari. What’s happening here?
I realize porting Safari to Windows does not make any sense (except they probably have done most of the work for iTune), but will be interesting if Apple ports it and make the Safari’s signature same as Mac version, so web site cannot differentiated between the Mac and Windows version. With security problem with MSIE, may be Safari can take major share of MSIE to ? switchers.
If Safari can get large enough share in Windows, may be Safari incompatible web sites will fix their problems.
I like the fact that Safari loads quickly. Everything else is just “average”. Firefox is by far more useful and standardized.
