  1. I feel bad for all the people who have been spending months encoding their whole cd library into regular ACC, now they have to start over from scratch with the lossless version.

  2. Not really, ilona. Only if they intend to reburn custom CDs and demand the kind of high quality audio that recording engineers demand. I seriously doubt you’d notice the difference unless you are a true audiophile.

Speaking of which, I ordered my iPod Monday night. I’m getting a New in box 30Gb iPod with Dock connector, earphones, wired remote, and carry case. I was surprised that Apple still had some of these sitting around. Got it for the same price as the brand new 20Gb iPod. I just have to wait for it to show up from FedEx. 2 more days! w00t!!

  3. > another reason to upgrade

Nah, I’ve got my schedule which is due soon anyway, though I’m now considering holding back until Tiger is out. As for another iPod… when I can get 40 gigs in a Mini. I’m not holding my breath, except for a ‘countertop’ version with at least 40 gigs, plus radio, remote and some wicked speakers. And put the display on the remote, of course.
