“Are you one of the many Windows users feeling a teensy bit insecure today? In the latest security snafu to befall Microsoft, news broke last night that a portion of the source code related to Windows 2000 and NT has been leaked. Whether this is earth shattering or merely embarrassing remains to be seen, but there are clear ramifications,” Alyce Lomax writes for The Motley Fool.
Lomax writes, “It may still be too soon for a huge exodus of consumer and business computer users switching to Apple or to the Linux open-source operating systems, like that provided by Red Hat, but Microsoft’s closed source code and huge deployed base make it a tempting target to the virulently inclined.”
Lomax writes, “News of security problems has been coming at a furious pace. As if the recent widespread worm attack weren’t enough,
What are you talking about Robert? The article above was about security and there is no way your dell is doing security exept badly if it is running windows.
Macs and their users are generaly segregationists when it comes to computers. They indulge in an attitude of superiority and are generally motivted by negitive views rather that positive insights. Take for instance the price and availability of Mac products and the attitude of the Mac world. Why would I want to pay more for a product with less compatibilty and a general attitude that states Mac’s and their users are in a world of their own. I want to be integrated with the rest of the world, not seperated in a cultist group(Macs).Think how Apple would take off if they released their computer parts to the public, so that we are able to build our own Macs. I don’t trust anyone to build my computer or even open the case for me. That is why I am and always will be a PC USER. Unless Apple changes their ideals along with the entire Mac community.
The sheep says…..
I also don’t trust anyone to carry out medical procedures on me, that’s why I performed my own labotomy
zzzzzzzz:
“Macs and their users are generaly segregationists when it comes to computers.”
You betcha, son. It is quite ordinary to isolate infected individuals in negative-pressure rooms to reduce the risks of spread of pathogens. This is called common sense.
Z you are a funny fellow.
