Apple offers choice of three .Mac renewal gifts

Apple is offerring promotions for .Mac renewals. .Mac members can renew their .Mac accounts today and choose one of three renewal gifts:

1) The #1 selling computer game of all time, The Sims (US$49.95 retail value)
2) The world’s #1 multi-player game, EverQuest (US$49.95 retail value)
3) US$20 off your next purchase of more than US$20 at the online Apple Store

    I would trade the game for another 100MB of iDisk space.

    Have you seen what Apple is charging for .Mac disk space?
    I think its $60 for a second 100MB. That’s obscene!

    is there a monthly fee to play EverQuest?
    If so, how much $?

    I assume it is worthless without the subscription (and connection to other players in the virtual world).

    I’m a graphic designer and somtimes I work for the adult entertainment industry, it looks like Apple blocks all e-mail comming from my clients if they are part of this industry. That’s priceless for me ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”tongue laugh” style=”border:0;” />PP

    So I’ll be glad to see:

  6. Absurd! What if you have all those games (like me?).

    Technically, the $20 off could go towards the purchase of a new .Mac account purchased via the Apple Store. Granted, that doesn’t do anything for the price of the current one you are renewing.
