Studycard Studio debuts; create and memorize multimedia, flashcards and quizzes

Digital Meadow today announced the release of Studycard Studio, and the free Studycard Studio Lite. The software allows users to create and memorize multimedia, multilingual flashcards, quizzes and tutorials, including picture and sound identification, or spelling tests with speech.

Studycard Studio is for teachers and students, or anyone who has something to memorize. Students can create and study their own cards and track their progress. Teachers can develop quizzes or flashcards for their students.

With fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, multiple answer, and true/false questions, users can create quizzes for a variety of material. Plus, users can create tutorials by adding informative explanations to follow wrong or correct answers.

Studycard Studio offers a unique way to specify questions and answers allowing flexible card design. Form sentences with a fill-in-the-blank directly within the sentence itself. Arrange multiple choice answers in rows or columns, or positioned around a picture.

Users can easily drag-and-drop graphics, digital photos, movies and audio into their cards. Users can format text using unlimited colors, fonts and styles. Studycard Studio supports world scripts, and international fonts so users can study, for example, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Hebrew languages.

Studycard Studio’s card Navigator displays each card as a thumbnail preview. Users can sequence their cards or copy cards between documents by dragging them. Users can classify cards by category and difficulty levels and then study only the cards they want to.

Study methods include, Quiz, Slide Show, and Flip methods. Users can customize the methods with options to skip learned cards, show answer previews, learn groups of cards at a time, use time limits, speech, sound effects and cinematic-quality transitions, shuffled or sequential order, and swapped questions and answers. Studycard Studio also includes features designed to reduce study time, including automatic daily scheduling of each card based on how soon the user is likely to forget the card.

Studycard Studio is immediately available through Digital Meadow’s online store, for $29 (US). Studycard Studio Lite is available immediately as a free download here.

Minimum system requirements include Mac OS 9 with CarbonLib 1.3 or later, or Mac OS X 10.1 or later, built for Mac OS X.
