Selling 100 million songs on the iTunes Music Stores in Europe marks a dramatic acceleration in the purchase of legally downloadable music on the Internet. And the music fan who purchases the 100 millionth song in Europe will receive a prize that is just as dramatic and makes the digital music experience complete:

• June 2, 2005 – European iTunes Music Stores now accept Firstgate’s Click&Buy. iTunes Affiliate Programme launched across Europe.
• May 10, 2005 – iTunes Music Store launched in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
• April 19, 2005 – iTunes launched its Live from London concert series with the Stereophonics, followed by James Blunt and Athlete among others.
• October 26, 2004 – iTunes available in 10 more European countries.
• June 15, 2004 – iTunes Music Store launched in the UK, France and Germany.

Maybe one of the prizes for 1 Billion is NOT having to see Robbie Williams in concert.
I like Robbie Williams. His comedy is unique and fast. He was great as Mork on Happy Days, and eventually in his own series. He was pretty good as Mrs. Doubtfire, and was fun in Jumanji. I have seen him in serious roles too.
