“The answer is an emphatic “yes” based on the factors discussed below. The article also lists a few points why Apple might in fact “need” the dividend increase,” Tradevestor writes. “Let us start with the obvious reasons why a dividend increase is almost guaranteed. Apple can afford it. And equally important, Apple needs it.”
“Most investors will agree that Apple’s days of super growth are behind it and that it, like the rest of the companies shown below, must attempt to please investors through dividends and buybacks as well,” Tradevestor writes. “This is not to say there will be no growth but the point should be clear… For the record, we believe the new dividend will be between $13.50/yr and $14/yr, an increase of 10% to 15%.”

Apple doesn’t copy the competition because it leads the competition and they copy Apple. There is nothing remotely similar in IOS7 to Winblows 8. Apple said Windows 8 would be a flop because you can’t do a hybrid operating system of tablet and PC and Apple was right. iPhone and iPad sales make Surface look like blackberry. Yeah, must be the rudist bunch I’ve run across on any forum, sometimes me included! Maybe it’s because there is no need to register, no agreed forum rules and no forum manager to kick the trolls and other rude posters off? MDN really needs to look at it because I’m ready to find a less antagonistic, more polite and informed crowd to actually discuss Apple news. I’m probably not the only one either. Any recommendations?
Apple Insider is great, but the comments are comparatively lame. I read it for the articles.

iOS7 is aesthetically inferior to iOS6 but still significantly better than Android…Windows Phone however is an abomination.

you guys freaked out when a designer actually took out the cutesy skeuomorphism and took a look at from a minimalist graphic designer perspective. and since only google can really make changes system wide on android all you Sammie fans are stuck with google’s snails pace and beholden to the carrier if your phone makes it to the EOL six months after you buy it. android does some half-ass tweaks and let touch wiz do the rest, which is just more battery hogging bloat ware. iOS7 is gorgeous second only to the beautifully efficient OSX. once APPL goes large on the next iPhone the fix is in for android phones. the s4 was crushed by the iP5s despite the loud moronic crowds of teenage basement dwellers who have too much soda when mommy isn’t home and rants in caps that everyone wants the galaxy’s because of the large screen. you know it and everyone else knows it and that is why the continuous FUD will never cease. This year Everything mobile will look rehashed and boring next to the lineup apple has planned, and that scare you guys. so much that your only option is rant on apple forums like a crazed hobo on the street corner that everyone gives a dollar to so they don’t have to interact with more than they have to..
