“The Steven P. Jobs Trust [managed by his widow, Laurene Powell Jobs] is the largest Disney shareholder – owning about 7.7% of the stock,” Alex Knapp reports for Forbes. “Now, as we learned earlier this week, Disney is buying Lucasfilm.”

Knapp reports, “Lucasfilm owns the trademark over the word ‘Droid’ because of the Star Wars films… the name is being used under license… [and] Steve Jobs‘ trust now gets a little bit richer – when people buy an Android Smartphone made by Motorola.”

Unfortunately, Apple should be getting much more out of the iPhone knockoffs than they currently are – hopefully, someday, finally, the courts will the thieves and rectify this gross and painfully obvious injustice.
