  1. Recap:

    Nano: Built in video camera, speaker, 1/5 as thin as a Flip, 1/10th of the volume. New nanos get Genius Mixes as well. Nano gets a pedometer app, voice records, nike+ syncing, and more. 8GB is $149 and 16GB is $169

    160GB iPod Classic is now $249

    iTouches — 8gb ($199), 32GB ($299), 64GB ($399).
    New iPod Shuffles are 1GB ($59), 2GB ($79), 4GB ($99) and comes in New colors, five colors, silver, pink, green, blue and “stainless steel”

    iPhone OS 3.1 is released today: New Genius technology automatically makes plalylists from songs in your library that go great together, applies to apps too (app reccomendations).

    iTunes 9 was announced: Genius Mixes (using iMixes to teach the Genius feature), improved syncing options:genre, artist options, albums, faces/photos, events, arrange your iPhone apps in iTunes, iTunes LP which bundles loads of exclusive Artist content with album purchases (lyrics, liner knows, videos, and more)

    It would appear that the new iPod Touch DOES NOT have a camera

  2. Interesting announcements today.

    Predictably…
    * larger capacities
    * iTunes 9

    Surprisingly…
    * pedometer in nano
    * FM radio in nano

    Weird…
    * no camera in iPod touch … I would have absolutely expected a camera to hit the iPod touch at the same time as the iPod nano … wonder why this didn’t happen?

    Still waiting…
    * Apple TV update.

  3. No 32gb nano?

    My God, I thought this would be lackluster but I didn’t think they’d screw up this bad. Leaving the old processor in the $199 iPod touch and not doubling the memory? Now you have to pay at least $299 to get a decent touch. That leaves a huge hole for the 16gb Zune HD to fill.

  4. so the touch is the same memory, same cpu, and no camera. does this mean they have a new cpu and camera touch waiting to come out in Nov or so and piss off all the touch buyers? that would be my kids btw, so i am curious….

  5. Video/camera on nano:
    H.264 VGA video, 640 by 480 pixels, up to 30 frames per second with AAC audio
    15 real-time special effects: Sepia, Black and White, X-Ray, Film Grain, Thermal, Security Cam, Cyborg, Bulge, Kaleido, Motion Blur, Mirror, Light Tunnel, Dent, Stretch, and Twirl

  6. Where’s the Apple TV update? Is it still a “hobby”?

    That has to be the worst Apple event, ever! What was the point? They could’ve just updated their website to reflect these mediocre changes.

  7. iPod Touch Camera in next updating cycle maybe. “Reduced Pricing more Features” was today’s catch. At these prices, if you want a camera : Buy a Nano or an iPhone.

    APPLE WILL OWN CHRISTMAS 2009 !!!
