  1. They may be the village idiots. But, it is clear that they still have a hard time praising Steve Jobs.

As for the video in the iPod touch and iPhone, that was the hack in the contest less than 2 months after the first iPhone shipped more than 2 years ago. The iPhone and iPod touch have always be able to supply streamed video. Apple just refuses (at this time) to point a camera at the user like they do on the Macs. The tablet may be the change and the start of Apple’s mobile video conferencing.

  2. Sry guys. Although I totally adore apple and the US has probably taken the biggest position in the market of the future (iNet, Technology), it is so funny to see that all you Americans are so convinced by yourselves, that you take always for granted that you are the best in everything.

You even believe that you are the biggest exporter, as the anchorman said.

Fortunately, there is one well-educated guys in the group who corrects this.

  3. Shock!

CNBC will need to be taken to the wood shed again by the White House!!!

Can you believe CNBC is bashing the Government and the White House as “out of control spending”! How dare they paint capitalism as good and Obama/Pelosi/Reed as bad! They are out of line and need to stay within the Obama/Pelosi/Reed talking points!

This should of reported that Steve’s success is coming from the stimulus bill and because of the brilliance’s of Obama. Its time Obama takes over GE and fires Jeff Immelt now that the President of the United States has this new power.

Sorry, I forgot Jeffrey is already in Obama’s back pocket!

I do agree that Steve Jobs is one of American’s great capitalist. Congratulations Steve!

  4. Holy Crap™

    With “Brilliant Minds” like those

How’d we ever get in this Economic Situation™ ?

    And … a $1.00 a year “Hero of Capitalism”

    Sorry, hard to see how THAT adds up … ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

  5. Hero of Capitalism?
Someone who makes the most money with the least effort?

Steve’s the hero of the consumer.
Sweating the details, producing great products (that were not designed by brain dead committees) and pissing off groups like the music industry who are trying to raise prices.

I’m just glad I don’t have to work for him.

Then again . . . working for a company that actually cares about the product they are producing . . . that doesn’t sound half bad.

  6. @ A guy from Germany,

“… that you take always for granted that you are the best in everything.”

Maybe not everything, but we’re pretty damned good at kicking your asses in world wars. Wanna try for three?

  7. Sir Gee Bee

When talking about “kicking asses in a world war”

Might want to be careful using the word “we”

Especially when you’re not talking about you or me

    But our Fathers and Grandfathers … ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

  8. I’d bet that Steve Jobs would not describe himself as a capitalist. Modestly, he’d say that he’s just a guy who is trying to provide great products.

I just had a thought. Given his recent health issues, I’d bet that our Steve has become somewhat informed about health care issues, and privately, he probably has some unique ideas about how the system could be improved. Steve’s friend Rahm Emmanuel should call him for some advice and suggestions. If Steve’s ideas about the health care system are anything like his ideas for education, it would be a refreshing point-of-view.
