Techs turn positive led by Apple, Google

“The tech sector reversed course Friday afternoon, turning positive on gains from Apple Inc. and Google Inc., as the Nasdaq Composite Index gunned for another week of gains.,” Benjamin Pimentel reports for MarketWatch.

“Apple Inc. (AAPL: 123.58, +2.13, +1.8%) rose higher, gaining 2.13%, which helped pull the Nasdaq Composite Index (COMP: 1,673.07, +2.63, +0.2%) up 0.2% to 1,673.07. The tech-heavy benchmark is up about 1.4% this week,” Pimentel reports.

“Google (GOOG: 392.61, +3.87, +1.0%) shares were up after the Internet behemoth reported first-quarter results that beat Wall Street estimates,” Pimentel reports.
