Apple Trade In

Apple has updated its trade-in program, raising credit values for the majority of its iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch models, with some devices seeing increases of nearly 30 percent. The company also expanded the list of eligible Android phones, adding several Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and OnePlus devices.

The adjustments, reflected on Apple’s trade-in page as of August 6, 2026, apply to “up to” amounts that can vary based on a device’s condition, year, and configuration. Not all devices qualify for credit.

Among iPhones, the iPhone 16 Pro jumped from $560 to $630, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max rose from $695 to $720. Older models also saw gains: the iPhone 15 Pro Max increased to $530 from $490, the iPhone 14 Pro Max to $405 from $375, and the iPhone 13 Pro to $285 from $260. Some entry-level or older devices, such as the iPhone 16e and iPhone X, remained unchanged.

Apple Watch trade-in values improved modestly for several models. The Series 10 rose to $165 from $150, the Series 9 to $135 from $130, and the Series 8 to $95 from $90. The Ultra 2 and Ultra held steady at $305 and $205, respectively.

On the tablet side, the iPad Pro increased to $720 from $690, the iPad Air to $490 from $460, the standard iPad to $260 from $235, and the iPad mini to $300 from $265.

Macs posted some of the more significant jumps. The MacBook Pro climbed to $855 from $690, the Mac mini to $480 from $375, the Mac Studio to $1,305 from $1,045, and the Mac Pro to $2,195 from $2,045. The MacBook Air rose to $580 from $520, while the iMac increased to $380 from $355.

Apple also refreshed its Android trade-in offerings. Newly added models include the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL at up to $315, Pixel 9 Pro at $305, Pixel 9 at $210, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G at $95, OnePlus 13 at $250, and OnePlus 13R at $165. A few existing Android values shifted slightly up or down.
