Walt Disney Co. is again increasing the price of its ad-free Disney+ streaming service by $3 to $18.99 per month (with the annual subscription going up by $30 to $189.99 per year). The ad-supported plan will rise by $2 to $11.99 per month.
Jess Weatherbed for The Verge:
After launching Disney Plus in 2019 for $6.99 per month, these price hikes are now becoming a seasonal trend for Disney. The company raised the price of its streaming services in December 2022, October 2023, and October 2024, with its streaming business finally becoming profitable for the first time last year.

Disney needs more money to pay Jimmy Skummel.
F Disney!
That’s going to be tough with all their recent cancellations. 🙂
Have to pay deadbeat propagandists like Kimmel somehow, now that the spigot of laundered taxpayer money has finally been shut off.
While you stand on the side of an absolute liar, you had better not use the word “truth”.
😝😝😝😏
Silly Disney. I’ve already cancelled my subscription.
Cable keeps increased prices too. Eventually there’s no one left to pay. This is already happening to Disney. It’s gonna make cable look like a glacier, in comparison.
With a dollar that keeps devaluing, it is normal for prices to increase.
Tell me Almux, are you one to categorically think that;
dollar value goes up = good?
and
dollar value goes down = bad?
