Apple AirTag 2 said to launch as early as May

Kosutami, a known leaker, shared on X today that the AirTag 2 is slated for a spring release, aligning with Bloomberg News‘ Mark Gurman’s earlier reports. Kosutami says to expect the launch sometime in May or June.

As Gurman has reported previously, there are three main features expected for Apple’s AirTag successor:

• better range

• more modern wireless chip

• improved privacy features

This latter point includes making the speaker harder to remove.
