Apple is expected to supercharge its next-gen flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphone with several changes and enhancements.
The device will measure in at 6.9 inches (up from 6.7), and is expected to be taller and wider than last year’s iPhone 15 Pro Max. While thickness will remain the same, the weight will increase slightly due to the larger size.
Apple is said to be using Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology, which allows for a more compact and efficient layout of the circuitry under the display, resulting in even slimmer bezels.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to feature a more advanced main camera that is 12% bigger, featuring a customized 48-megapixel Sony IMX903 sensor with a stacked design for better performance… It is also said to include a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide camera, up from the 12-megapixel lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
According to another rumor, this year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max will boast an even bigger 30-hour-plus battery life (compared to 29 hours for the iPhone 15 Pro Max).

Isn’t MDN’s take true every year? We have the 15 Pro Max and an extra hour of battery life and more megapixels on a wide angle camera that most hardly ever use aren’t much of a reason to upgrade. I know iPhone 15 owners aren’t the target market for 16s, but usually Apple adds a bit more differentiation to make it worthwhile for the yearly upgraders. Maybe more default storage or RAM – give us something to hang our hats on!
When’s the last time you wished your iPhone had more RAM? Other than whether it will make the cut for the latest software update 5 years into ownership it’s irrelevant. Android flagships are stuffed with RAM and battery life suffers. A bigger screen is absolutely a welcome change, even if only marginally so. It’s past time for a folding iPhone though. Knowing Apple we won’t see one for another 2-3 years.
The majority of news coming from Apple, except for movies and TV shows, is speeds, feeds, thinness, bend-ability and nifty colors.
It harkens to the late 90’s/early aughts when AMD/Intel and Dell/Gateway were in the same rut.
