Microsoft, not Tim Cook’s Apple, is now the most valuable company ever

Microsoft’s current market capitalization is $3.12 trillion, the highest for any company ever, beating out Apple’s all-time market cap high of $3.090 trillion, set on July 31, 2023.

Emily Dattilo for Barron’s:

Microsoft stock was up 1.4% to $419.69 on Friday. Over the last 12 months, shares have soared 60%, largely thanks to strides in artificial intelligence software.

“We’ve moved from talking about AI to applying AI at scale,” CEO Satya Nadella said in a statement at the time. “By infusing AI across every layer of our tech stack, we’re winning new customers and helping drive new benefits and productivity gains across every sector.”

The company officially will surpass Apple’s all-time market cap high if the stock closes at any price above $415.84. And if the gains hold, Microsoft will be the first U.S. company to close with a market cap greater than $3.1 trillion.

MacDailyNews Take: Tim Cook’s Apple.

With better management, Apple should be worth at least a trillion more than Microsoft currently. But, you can’t achieve those sort of results when you do things like miss transformative technologies like AI because you lack a visionary leader and have to resort to spending and scrambling madly trying to catch up to whatever you’ve blindly missed.MaDailyNews, January 12, 2024

The difference between an operations guy following a static playbook — reacting to events instead of determining them — versus a visionary genius becomes ever more apparent with each passing year.MacDailyNews, March 8, 2023

  1. Hey, at least Apple planted some mangroves in India in Tim Cook’s latest sop to “climate change,” i.e. cover story for a socialist global wealth redistribution scam.

Cook is either too stupid to see the con or he’s in on it.

  2. This isn’t about anything but the usual homophobic right-wing conservative bashing of Tim Cook every chance the dim bulbs get. I don’t do Windows, do you? Android, either. In tech, no one is more valuable to me than Apple, enjoy your bitter little bubbles.

    1. DOJ: Biden is too senile to prosecute for corruption and treason

Liburds: It’s OK the let the lying, corrupt, racist, pedophile dementia patient continue as a puppet in the White House.

Having a dementia patient running the government shows us just how little we need the government and how fuccing stupid libturds are.

    2. Wow, auramac. Even from your numerous disturbed partisan posts of disinformation — this is a new LOW.

If you clearly believe Bean Counter Cook is not to blame for slip in earnings and not keeping pace with Microsoft .AI — no other way to say it — you are BRAIN DEAD. Immune from REALITY and nothing more than a HATE spewing partisan hack!…

  3. As long as some straight males have inner need to include homophobia into their self-definition of their manhood this type of thinly veiled headline will be on exhibit.
