Happy downloading!

  1. I have a large number of art apps on my original iPad Pro. Almost all of these have not been updated to work with IOS 11. If I update to IOS 11, will I lose these apps, or at least their functionality? Until I know, I won’t upgrade to IOS 11.

    1. Yes, I’m running into the same problem. Even though I successfully updated my wife’s iPad Pro to iOS 11, my iPhone 6 says that iOS 10.3.3 is up to date.

Solution is to hard wire the iPhone to mac and update from the iPhone tab through iTunes.

      Good Luck! 😉

    2. Sometimes it takes a few hours (or a few days) for the auto-uploading mechanism to start letting users know they cans/should upgrade.

I always guessed it was because they want to give the early adopters first crack before opening the flood gates to the hundreds of millions of current users…

  2. is anyone else experiencing unusually rapid battery drain on their 6+ since the update? I went thru 28% in two hours. maybe 30 minutes of music (on device, not streamed), two texts, no phone calls or any other uses or background apps. any advice is appreciated.

    1. That happened to my iPhone 6, turns out it was Photos. From what I can gather it was re-uploading all my photos, in the new format for iOS 11… but one it finished it calmed down. Battery is now stable and hasn’t gone down much at all in the hour I’ve used it on battery.

One benefit I’ve noticed is I now have a whopping 58GB of free space when in iOS 10 I only had about 8GB free.

  3. One issue, in the Photos app, it no longer shows you the location of photos under the date. It’s just a big bold date. Was nice to see where a certain group of pics was taken along with the date. Now, you have to choose a pic then swipe up to see it on a little map but no location labeled.

  4. Battery life? Anyone else experiencing a greater battery drain after applying the update? I’m going to give it s few days to see if it sorts itself out… However I do not see my phone making through work today at this rate. It drops 2% every ten minutes.
