Apple today seeded developers with tvOS 10.1 beta 5.
tvOS 10.1 includes general bug fixes and improvements in the OS and SDK.
tvOS 10.1 also includes:
• The TV app, a new, unified experience for accessing your TV shows and movies across multiple video apps.
• Use Up Next to see the movies and TV shows you’re currently watching and pick up where you left off
• Get recommendations for new movies and TV shows in Watch Now
• Discover new apps and the latest iTunes releases in the Store
• Access the Library for your iTunes purchases and rentals
tvOS 10.1 beta 3 was the first to include the new TV app. Now into beta 5, we expect the public tvOS 10.1 will be along shortly.
Been saying it since day 1: without 4K, a new ATV is completely out of the question for me. I’ll stick with my old one until I see something that’s not already obsolete.
I remember Apple went gangbusters with HD video, integrating it with all their products well ahead of other consumer vendors. How times have changed.
The content for 4K is still thin. Maybe in a year but not a deal breaker for me. ATV 4 has been amazing and I’ve used them all.
