“As has been widely reported, it is all but confirmed that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack,” Benjamin Mayo reports for 9to5Mac.This means buyers of the new iPhone will have to search for alternative types of headphones, whether that be via wireless Bluetooth or Apple’s Lightning cable.”
“Right now, Apple bundles EarPods with every iPhone,” Mayo reports. “It obviously makes no sense for Apple to continue bundling 3.5mm headphones with the headphone-jack-less iPhone 7.”
Mayo writes, “What’s apparently shown in these photos (via Weibo) is a new version of Apple’s EarPods that can connect to an iPhone via the 8-pin Lightning port.”

MacDailyNews Take: Would Jony Ive really have a white collar on the Lighting connector and grey collars everywhere else?
GIMP or Photoshop?
It’s just earpods with a lightning cable next to it, cropped… So even Preview.
If they DO make lightning earpods… How the hell do we charge our phones and listen to things at the same time? Like… I don’t know… In AIRPORTS? 😉
Nice catch MDN – the answer is NO! Clearly this is fakery!
I’m also counting on them having a solution for using headphones and recharging at the same time.
Notice how the whole cable is not visible. You don’t even need Photoshop, just two different cables. The end of the first is off Screen and the end of the second is off screen.
Confused Country——- Good catch number TWO…..
Obviously bollocks. On top of the other comments, no way in hell would they release earbuds with a plug that sticks almost an inch out of the bottom of the iPhone.
