“For weeks, the music industry has been awaiting the release of Adele’s new album, ’25,’ with a mixture of excitement and anxiety,” Ben Sisario reports for The New York Times. “The album is all but certain to be a gigantic hit, but Adele had not revealed whether she would release it on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.”
“The answer is no,” Sisario reports. “With less than 24 hours before the album’s release on Friday, the major digital services have been told that “25” will not be made available for streaming, according to three people with direct knowledge of the plans for the release.”
