“There are two things that Apple will never tell you when it comes to its iOS devices, and that’s how much memory an iPhone or iPad has, and what size the batteries are,” Chris Smith reports for BGR. “This year Apple significantly upgraded RAM for iPhone 6s, iPad Pro and Apple TV, and many reports can confirm these details well ahead of future teardown jobs.”
“2GB of RAM,” Smith reports. “That’s how much the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and Apple TV 4th-generation are getting this year.”
“Apple enthusiast John Gruber wrote on his site that he believes the new iPad Pro has to have 4GB of RAM. “If we were to wager on the amount of RAM in iPad Pro, my bet would be 4GB. And I would wager very heavily,” he said, and he’d win that wager, Adobe seems to indicate,” Smith reports. “In a blog post announcing the new iPad Pro apps Adobe unveiled on stage during the iPhone 6s event, the company clearly mentioned that the new tablet has 4GB of RAM on board.”
