“Apple is bound to unveil a new series of iPhones in September, and given the company’s history and all the rumors so far, the two main models will be known as the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus,” Mihai Matei reports for G For Games. “We assume that the two variants will have 4.7 and 5.5-inch displays respectively; however there have also been reports of an iPhone 6c being in the works…”
“According to the Foxconn insider who shared the sketch [<a href="http://www.gforgames.com/gadgets/5-inch-new-gen-iphone-6-in-the-works-48197/" target="_new"see full article], via the Apple portal known as ‘Feng,’ the 5-incher will apparently rock an 8 MP camera, a dual-LED flash, and what seems to be a rather conservative design,” Matei reports. “The smartphone… will rock a full HD 5-inch display, powered by an A9 processor.”
“The source reiterated that the two other iPhone 6s models will measure 4.7 and 5.5-inches respectively, and added that the iPhone 6s Plus will make use of a more powerful 12 MP camera,” Matei reports. “If there is any grain of truth to these recent rumors then perhaps the fabled 5-inch model will be the iPhone 6C.”

This one’s firmly in the rumor category for now.
Any interest in such an iPhone? We guess it would depend on the pricing as the display size is only slightly larger than the expected 4.7-inch iPhone 6s, but if it were less expensive — perhaps pointed for India, etc. to knock the wind out of Android and Windows Phone — would such an iPhone model work in the grand scheme of things?
Any interest you ask? Of course there is Interest. 50% of iPhone owners worth at least. Some people don’t want phablets. Duh.
Most of those who want classic-size iPhone want flagman, not last year’s model — the more so re-packaged in plastic.
So if Apple will release such “iPhone 6c”, I am not really interested.
I would buy a 3.5″ iPhone. I don’t use my iPhone for productivity. I have a Mac and an iPad (actually a full-sized iPad and a mini, and I’ll buy a 13″ Pro when it launches.) I use a phone for texting, phone calls, and very basic interaction. And sometimes I’ll leave it in my pocket and use my Watch.
Why the hell is the smallest iPhone 4.7″? I haven’t bought an iPhone since they went huge. And I won’t buy a new one until they care about fitting in a pocket and being usable with one hand again.

Yes. I hope, since the iPod Touch got the same processor as the iPhone 6 but stayed with the iPhone 5s screen size, then maybe, just maybe there will be a 4″ iPhone with all the new specs.

A 5″ display is larger than the current iPhone 6. Does the writer actually mean 4″, same size as an iPhone 5?

Liquidmetal can be used in the injection machines that make the plastic “c” phones with a documented modification. Therefore I suspect we’ll have a 6c in preparation for a lqmt iPhone 7.
the point of a c is to make use existing engineering and put it in a easier to produce shell. Going trough all the trouble of engineering a complete new device with a completely different screen makes absolutely no sense for this to be true.
