What’s in store for Apple’s special media event in October?

“The soon to be announced Apple special event in September is most likely to be occupied with a recap of Apple Watch, Apple Pay (read relaunch and resell) and the introduction of the iPhone 6S C, 6S and 6S Plus,” E. Werner Reschke writes for T-GAAP.

“September is also likely to see the release of iOS 9 (at the same time as the iPhone 6S series), and OS X El Capitan (version 10.11) or at the very least a firm date on when they will be released,” Reschke writes. “With the big known quantities out of the way, what could be in store for October’s special event?”

“The biggie on people’s minds is the next generation Apple TV,” Reschke writes. “Unless Apple has something ‘different’ up its sleeve that no one knows about, the fourth, and long-awaited, generation of Apple TV should make its way to center stage this October just in time for the Christmas season.”

MacDailyNews Take: Here’s hoping the ink will be on the Internet TV service contracts and that there will be an Apple TV SDK for third-party developers to create Apple TV apps and an Apple TV App Store in which to distribute them!
