Leading design visionaries Sir Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson will be appearing at the debut Condé Nast International Luxury Conference in Florence in April 2015, it was announced today.
Suzy Menkes, International Vogue Editor and curator of the Condé Nast International Luxury Conference, in partnership with Swarovski and Place Vendôme Qatar, will be in conversation with Sir Jonathan Ive, Senior Vice President of Design at Apple Inc and designer Marc Newson. They will be discussing the new 21st century definition of luxury and their collaborative work to date.
Suzy Menkes remarked in a statement, “Apple is now a powerful part of the luxury industry. The iPhone, iPad, and the upcoming Apple Watch are in direct competition with handbags, timepieces and high end accessories. I want Jony Ive to tell the conference delegates where 21st century luxury is headed.”

So, where are designers from Microsoft sitting?
At the bottom of the Arno.
Ive and Newson do not have to do that. Apple Watch Edition will be by far the biggest selling luxury watch on its own already this year.
Just like other two types of Apple Watch will be the biggest seller among watches overall.
