“A love-struck Chinese man decided to propose to his girlfriend in the middle of a heart made from 99 iPhone 6s, at a cost of over 500,000 yuan ($94,400), according to The Nafang, citing local media,” News.com.au reports.
MacDailyNews Note: She wasn’t his girlfriend, she was a co-worker with whom he was smitten.
“Unfortunately for would-be Romeo, she said no – leaving him with a bouquet of flowers, a mountain of phones, and likely a very empty wallet,” News.com.au reports. “In an exchange that was photographed and shared via the Chinese microblogging website WeiBo, the man assembled his stack of brand new iPhone 6 handsets in the shape of a heart. Then, standing inside it with a bouquet of flowers, he asked his girlfriend to be his bride — all while a crowd of family and friends watched on.”
News.com.au reports, “Sadly, she said no.”
