July is Apple’s hottest month

“Apple shares finished June up 20% for the quarter and 2.8% for the month, which is a little out of character,” Philip Elmer-DeWitt reports for Fortune.

“July, not June, tends to be the stock’s hottest month,” P.E.D. reports, “with back-to-school sales clearing last year’s inventory even as the drumbeat of rumors – all those promises of end-of-summer product releases — grows louder.”
