Apple Store offers free shipping in U.S. on all iPhones

“Apple today launched a new promotion for U.S. customers, providing free next day shipping on all of its iPhone models,” Juli Clover reports for MacRumors.

“While Apple typically provides free shipping for all orders over $50, the promotion also includes the iPhone 4, which is free with a two year contract,” Clover reports. “Potential customers are limited to purchasing two iPhones with the newly released shipping offer, which is available immediately.”

  1. Tweak, tweak, tweak. Free shipping for a few phone orders? Yeah, that’ll get things turned around. How long do you suppose it took Tim Cook to come up with that amazing “breakthrough?”

This is the kind of utter nonsense I’ve been trying to get the MDN world of Apple worshippers to realize. There is NOTHING going on, my friends, with the company we fell in love with. Quit the name calling of anyone not as blinded to reality as so many of you are and focus yourselves on solving the future – a future that begins with the arrival of an innovative, visionary new CEO cast from the mold of one Steve Jobs.

    1. This IS a story because it shows that Apple is trying to run through their current innovatory of iPhones, possibility to get ready for an upgrade. Not real soon as this is a minor discount, but not one you see that often from Apple.

. . . or, Apple may have just negotiated a deal with UPS/FedEx.

    2. You know, it took Apple what…7 years to go from one greatest thing ever to the never greatest thing ever (iPod to iPhone). Then Apple releases the iPad in an even shorter time. Why is it suddenly criminal that they haven’t revolutionized another industry in 3 years? What company can say they launched three entirely new industries in 10 years? I just don’t get this absolute crap that Tim Cook or Apple are failing because they haven’t given us the next great thing yet. When did this crazy expectation settle into people’s minds? Are our lives so shitty, that unless Apple re-invents the world every 6 months, we have to decide they’re idiots and failures? I just don’t get it.

  2. ppeterson, I respectfully suggest you maintain some degree of sobriety until such time as we actually see what ‘Apple Inc’. has in store for the ‘zealots’ and other like minded customers this ensuing year. Play the part of ‘Nostradamus’ is really unbecoming of most prognosticators as they then need to find time to extract their heads from within their own person rear end. Be sure to have a Good Day and stay calm!
