Apple iPhone 5 being testing now as device appears in server logs

“A few short days after rumors began swirling that Apple would hold this year’s fall event on Sept. 12, a reliable source just sent a screen grab of a next-gen iPhone popping up in his/her/its server logs,” Peter Ha reports for TechCrunch.

“We weren’t able to glean any other info from the one session the prototype iPhone was engaged in, but the naming convention falls in line with what others have previously reported,” Ha reports. “It remains unclear if the iPhone 5,2 will go into production – as opposed to the iPhone 5,1 – or whether it will remain an internal-only test unit.”

  1. Hey, it’s coming. Don’t get your underwear in a twist over whether or not the 5.1 or the 5.2 will be the final version. I mean really, does it matter? They will announce it in September and you will be able to order it several weeks later. Been there done that. It’s nothing new. And for the “iPhone five hopefuls,”what you think they’re not going to come out with an iPhone five? Ford will have a new automobile in the fall also. Happens every year. The birds will migrate this fall. Happens every year. Apple ITV or the 7 inch iPad? OK spend all your free time wondering about that. At least it’s somewhat of a puzzle.
