Apple design chief Jonathan Ive hints at big project

“Apple’s (AAPL) design chief Jonathan Ive says his current project will be his best yet,” Patrick Seitz reports for Investor’s Business Daily. “That’s quite a statement, given that Ive designed such iconic products as the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad.”

“In an interview with the U.K.’s Telegraph newspaper, Ive was asked which product he would like to be remembered for,” Seitz reports. “‘It’s a really tough one,’ he said. ‘A lot does seem to come back to the fact that what we’re working on now feels like the most important and the best work we’ve done, and so it would be what we’re working on right now, which of course I can’t tell you about.'”

Seitz reports, “On Wednesday, Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of industrial design, received a British knighthood for his ‘services to design and enterprise.'”
