Now Radio Shack discounts iPhone 4, iPhone 4S by $50

“Yesterday, RadioShack’s Twitter feed carried word of a new discount on the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. The retailer will, for a limited time, let customers save $50 instantly on the two most recent models of iPhone,” Electronista reports.

“The discount follows a similar move by Target. Earlier this week, Target announced it would discount the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S by $50 with a two-year contract,” Electronista reports. “The discount is valid for across all carriers until June 30.”

  1. Those are not discounts. Apple dropped prices for many iPhone models by $50. Checking prices on international markets confirms this. In calendar Q1 Apple had gross margin even more high than many thought it was possible, so they had room to make prices better.

    If what you say is true, should we expect the same lower prices for the next model? Additionally, would you say these price drops do NOT indicate a sooner release got the iPhone 5?

    1. Apple never lowered prices on iPhones/iPads prior release, so why would they start doing this now?

      The new iPhone (4G/6) will most probably released in the early Q4, which is the best possible time to do this.
