Siri now functioning on all iOS devices, no jailbreak required

“A developer who goes by the name of @Jackoplane on Twitter has recently made some publicity on his work porting Siri to the iPhone 4,” Jaden reports for iJailbreak.

“While we mentioned numerous times that developer Steven Troughton-Smith managed to get Siri semi-functioning on the iPhone 4, it looks like Jack has managed to get Siri fully functioning on the iPhone 4,” Jaden reports. “The news comes from @Gojohnnyboi (John Heaton ) who tweeted today that the Jailbreaking Community (meaning the developers of the Jailbreaking Community) have Siri fully functioning on the iPhone 4. After the news was broken by John, developer Jack posted an F.A.Q about this fully functional port of Siri over Twitter.”

Jaden reports, “If you read the F.A.Q you will realize that Siri for the iPhone 4 is expected to come to all iDevices running the iOS 5 firmware. More importantly it has been noted that this port of Siri will eventually be released to the public. For all of you wondering, you will not need to Jailbreak your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to get Siri [running] on it.”
