iOS 5 beta 2 brings Wi-Fi Sync, OTA Updates, and more

“iOS 5 beta 2 arrived late last week for registered Apple developers, and the update did more than just smooth things out,” Darrell Etherington reports for GigaOM. “It also brought some changes to the way the OS looks, feels and acts, according to reports.”

Here’s what’s new in iOS 5 beta 2:
• Wi-Fi sync
• OTA updates
• Backup to iCloud as a setup option
• Gevey SIM unlock blocked
• New lock screen Notification style

  1. Wi-Fi sync will be fantastic….I want to pull my car into the garage and have my iPod Touch automatically sync new music I’ve bought on my PC. I never remember to grab it since it’s a pain to unhook. I’ve been hoping for this feature for years.
