RUMOR: Apple to release iPhone 5 pre-loaded with iOS 5 on September 7th

“It’s a little over two more months of agonizing wait for iPhone fans. The latest buzz in the market is that Apple will release the much-awaited iPhone 5 in the first week of September, and some tech websites have gone ahead to make the prediction that the device will arrive on September 7,” International Business Times reports.

“The iPhone 5 will come pre-loaded with the iOS 5, the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system,” IBT reports. “Apple has already said the iOS 5 will hit the market in July, so it is believed that the next generation iPhones will come pre-loaded with the latest operating system, which has been enriched by at least 200 new features.”

IBT reports, “The next generation Apple iPhone will come out in September of this year, and that the recent launch of the White iPhone 4 lends credence to this point, says Brian White, an analyst for Ticonderoga Securities… White contends that the launch of White iPhone 4 helped Apple make large amounts during a potential dry period between two major launches. Apple was wise to launch the White iPhone 4 recently after a series of delays as it helped mitigate customer fatigue over waiting for the new iPhone 5.”

  1. This is news? Are you kidding me? This literally what apple has done since the very beginning! Would it make any sense to launch an iPhone 5 running iOS 4.3? Stupid dummies

  2. Customer fatigue…yeah, that why I have been feeling tired. Don’t you just love the hindsight rationalization for whatever Apple does? There are leaders and there are followers. Analysts, as a whole, are pathetic followers struggling to sound wise while grasping at straws. If it weren’t for leaks, they would provide very little useful information.

  3. “Apple has already said the iOS 5 will hit the market in July”

Didn’t they say in the keynote that it will be released in the fall. Fall starts late September. This rumor blows. My opinion is iOS 5 will be released a few days prior to iPhone 5 in early October.

  4. Customer Fatigue?! Give me a break.

My 3GS is just fine, especially when the contract expires in December. The 3GS is a nice Phone as is the 4 and any iPhone is better than the posers.

The apps keep getting better & the OS is preparing to make a huge leap forward. As long as it runs the stuff well there is no problem other than AT&T’s greed and sorry network.

    1. Sorry. Had the 3GS. Not anywhere near the 4. The speed alone us a game changer. The 720p video camera. RETINA DISPLAY!!!! the resolution is mind blowing. Put the two side by side and look. Noise cancelation mic is amazing. 3GS is nice for 50 dollars. But cannot compare.

    2. My 3GS is what’s fatigued, not me. Pretty much running the standard Apple-provided apps now (Safari, mail, calendar, etc), nothing in the background, and its responsiveness blows now, has been since iOS 4. I feel especially for any iPhone 3G users who updated to iOS 4 and didn’t even get multitasking to justify the laggy.

Can’t wait for the iPhone 5 to come out.

    3. 3GS rocks! O, I’m sorry I don’t feel like paying another 200/300$ everytime a new iPhone comes out. The iPhone 5 is something that I’m excited to upgrade to… But that doesn’t mean the iPhone 3GS is a failure. You know I’m happy that Apple made the iPhone 3GS… It opened my eyes to the amazing world of the iPhone.

  5. Apple will have the keynote for iPhone late August / early September. The will say the iPhone is available for pre- order. And iOS 5 available today. I don’t think we need anymore release date rumors.

  6. Looks like I need to hang on to my old iPhone 3G for another year until supplies catch up in China for the iPhone 5. No iPad 2 either, but if I’m lucky I can find one in Finland on my EU vacation where people are still waiting for Nokia tablets and the iPads are sitting on the shelfs.

  7. “The iPhone 5 will come pre-loaded with the iOS 5, the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system,” IBT reports.

I hate to be a pedant but what the fsck do they mean that it will be “pre-loaded” with iOS5? It will either be loaded or it won’t; there is no “pre” about it.
