“Several more screenshots claiming to be from Apple’s upcoming Final Cut Pro X release provide a detailed look at the software’s color grading features,” Josh Ong reports for AppleInsider. “The series of screenshots were posted by Twitter user MortGoldman2 with the qualification that the images ‘should be legit.'”
“Apple previewed the Final Cut Pro X upgrade in April at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas,” Ong reports. “The $299 64-bit upgrade to Apple’s flagship video production software is scheduled for release later this month on the Mac App Store.”
Ong reports, “The forthcoming release has been touted by Apple as being ‘as revolutionary as the first version of Final Cut Pro.'”

Apple has been ‘launching’ FCP X for as long as RIM has been touting the Playbook, in other words forever. Is it going to be released or will it be vapourware like Windows 8?
This month!
….hopefully.
Hold your horses Left Nut! We were busy launching iPads, iPhones, ipods, iCloud, Lion, etc, etc….. Not quite the same scenario as RIM. FCP is coming!!
FCP X announced April 12, 2011.
RIM Playbook announced Sept. 27, 2010.
Weird calendar skills you’ve got there BLN.
He’s just being cavalier and swishy-swashy and the comment probably wasn’t meant to be taken seriously, you know, like Kyle’s left nut.
$299 will really put the pinch on Avid and Adobe.
$299 is just for FC – Let’s not relax just yet. It’s mighty optimistic to think Apple has put the three major apps into one neatly priced $299 package. For those of us using the whole ball of wax I think we’re still going to be shelling out $900+ dollars. If we’re fortunate we’ll get some kind of upgrade path that will save us a few hundred.
I don’t know. Lion for $30.00, that is four times less what they used to charge. Apple is all about selling hardware. The more people that use there software, the more people that buy there Macs.
So naïve. I thought June release meant June 1.
Now that I think about it, it will be more like June 31.
(I know… 30… it’s a joke.) 🙂
