  1. For a first attempt, it’s not too bad. There are some clever things done with the interface. Overall it’s a better implementation than the Economist. The writing, though, is a bit too GCish for my taste.

  2. Ah 388 MB download. I have pretty fast cable ISP but it did take 4 minutes to download and another 4 to install. I am not particularly into the articles, but I downloaded it just to see how digital magazines are progressing. This is very beautiful on the iPad and makes me think that magazines will soon be very big. There are a number of impressive scenes that would not work at all in a printed version. If the prices are reasonable I think that there will be a huge market for magazines.

  3. It does help us to know much about this magazine when most of the posts just state that many do not want to download it but feel qualified to somehow rate it. That used to happen in the app store on iTunes but thankfully now you actually have to buy an app to rate it. No more of those stupid reviews by folks that only have some kind of ax to grind. If you are not interested, fine. Tell us about all the things you are not interested in. I am all eyes.
