  1. As much as I detest Limbaugh and against nearly everything he stands for, I have to support him having a forum. Even if I believe only the weak-minded can fall for his divisive drivel, I do believe in Free Speech. But that so many subscribe to his insanity is still truly depressing and disheartening.

  2. some of the top news media in the US are:
    CNN
    NBC
    New York Times
    FOX News

It does not matter who is on top as the ranking process is not the indicator of the quality of the news they deliver but the accessibility and branding.

If you are really looking for news you will find it in the unconventional delivery methods such as twitter, Facebook, and some magazines… and a bit older news can be found in books… the rest is just porn… to know that we should be worried about a cold or heart a disease or anything else is just to worry you and then sell you something that makes you feel better… it may not even cure you… the main process is to put you in a survival mode and since by nature you would try to stabilize your health and well being you will try anything that makes you feel good. One of those things that marketers are interested is consuming.

  3. Rush Limbaugh is popular because what he says makes sense to a lot of people. Just as Apple is popular because Apple’s products “make sense” to a lot of people. Very simple.

You folks who call others “insane” and “stupid,” simply because they “think different,” need to look in the mirror and “reflect.”

  4. @ Bill

Lack of “fact checking” works BOTH ways, I’m sure… ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” /> Explains why Barack Obama got elected, but now he is generally unpopular. The “facts” became more clear after it was too late to “check.”

  5. The only- ONLY- thing I’ve ever liked about Rush is that he’s a Mac user.

Goes to show, as should be obvious here, that not all Mac users are people I otherwise have no respect for.

This, not farting apps, not naked women, is an obscenity. He’s not banned?

As with the ever-repulsive and nauseating Sarah Palin, what’s truly frightening is that they have fans, or even defenders, in the first place.

Enough politics. If I were interested in S & M, I’d wallow in the stuff.

  6. @Charlie
The funding argument can’t be used (honorably, at least) as an argument to not help the 911 responders, when the Republicans forced the country to borrow $80 billion dollars over the next two years so that the top 2% of the population could retain a 4% tax break that has done nothing to create jobs over the last two years – no trickle down (history has disproven this fallacy over the last 25 years – just look at the numbers). The middle class is disappearing – they are what fuel the economy. We have so much money being generated by Wall Street that does not come from adding any value or producing anything – just money games; and these people are not generating jobs for the middle class through the derivatives market, credit default swaps, and the manipulation that has companies like Goldman Sachs recommending and selling products that they themselves were hedging against. Its shameful and needs to be regulated. Period. Sorry for the rant/passion.

  7. Jobs himself, along with Apple, Inc., tend to skew a bit left when it comes to political donations and such. So, this just goes to show that Apple is not exerting a political agenda in their App Store.

As for Rush, I find listening to his show to be depressing, whether or not I agree with what he might be saying at the moment. So I don’t tune in. He was much more fun back during the Clinton Administration.

  8. And in related news, the trog who runs this childish site will delete any criticism of his political viewpoint.

I guess it makes him wet his diaper.

To paraphrase Rush Dimbulb: “MDN is a place where retards can go to impress one another with their incredible lack of wisdom.”

Actually, Rush didn’t say that. Who cares what Rush actually says?

  9. Don’t worry, el-Rushbo will drop dead of a heart attack soon enough — nobody that fat and full of blowhard air can stay healthy. Then maybe he’ll become a jihadist martyr for the simple minded right-wingnuts who he’s making million$ off of — how ironic. He’s just a buffoon entertainer who realizes that he can simply say the most outrageous, bigoted things and there are enough people out there who will support his lavish lifestyle just to keep hearing it. I doubt he’s even serious, probably laughing at all his “fans” as he deposits his fat checks. It’s just more proof to the world that a huge chunk of America is made up of puny-minded, insecure, angry, bewildered sheep. It would be funny if it weren’t so damn sad… actually, it is funny, period!
