MacDailyNews Take: RIM. Doing to TAT that which will be done to them sooner than later.
As any Apple executive who was with the company in the late 1990s will tell you, the greatest user interface in the world is a tough, tough sell without a thriving, vibrant ecosystem.
@Moka.s
I love where Apple has gone with OSX; I adopted it while still in beta. It was certainly pretty, but I initially missed Finder shortcuts, sort and search methods, and other functionality that was lost in the transition. There is more to UI than colors and pretty icons. The original Finder in OSX was an abysmal replacement for the Finder in OS9, and almost 10 years later it still does not allow me to do things I could do in OS9.
What is astonishing is how much RIM pays for this junk.
just my $0.02
It will be interesting to see if Blackberry trumpets itself as powered by tat in the UK. In English english “Tat” is less than desirable! Mind you it would ensure everyone remembers the advertisement!!
I was given a RIM job for my work. It’s paid for by the company and all calls are free of charge to me. It stays in my bag, unused, untouched, unwanted. I call it my UUU phone.
