Apple shares pass $300 in pre-market trading

Shares of Apple Inc. (AAPL) 300. rose over 2% in pre-market NASDAQ trading on Wednesday, to hit $300.62. This is the first time that AAPL shares have hit the $300 mark.

The stock is now at an all-time high. The previous all-time closing high is $298.54, set yesterday. The previous all-time intraday high was $299.50, also set yesterday.

Apple is due to report fiscal fourth quarter results on Monday, October 18th after market close.

  1. Got to pass $300 if you are going to $400 and higher!

    The question is now, how far apart are these centennial speed bumps! $100 was passed in 1Q09. $200 was passed in 1Q10. Now $300 is passed in 3Q10. If it doubled in one year from $100 to $200 then $400 may be in 1Q11.

  3. It will be great if it can close above 300. Getting over that psychological barrier is important. The stock had a hard time after getting to 200 the first time and then got whammed by the the credit crisis.

    Not much to suggest the bad news is around the corner. We do have the earning release coming up so there may be some profit taking happening soon.
