The iPhone 4 Case Program app is available via Apple’s iTunes Store here.
I feel bad getting one because I don’t have any reception issues however a black one would be nice.
oh joy. the workaround begins. I hope they give us a revised phone in October with a laminated antenna.
Would be nice if the link to the app worked in the UK hmmmmmmm !!
Link is not working
Don’t work.
Ships in 3-5 weeks.
Thank you MDN I just put my order in.
I got the clear hard case don’t wanna cover up the wonderful design.
This link works.

”the bumper allows you to add a splash of colour and is a fun unique way to personalize your iPhone” – ”only available in BLACK”
Picked the last one.
Hard to tell them apart. Some had descriptions, others didn’t.
The pictures didn’t really help that much.
Never had a “rubbery” type case before, so I chose that one.
I’ve tried everything to get my iphone 4 to lose signal on purpose, but it just won’t do it. But whatever I ain’t complaining. Free bumper case for absolutely no reason at all. Thank you media and all the other cry babies who literally made something out of nothing. I really appreciate the case. =)
I bought two bumpers some time ago from the online store and they were delivered last week. Last night I received e-mail from Apple saying they had already processed my refund, even though I haven’t asked for one.
Can’t download the app to my 3GS. Was waiting for White. Now I’m not sure I can wait many more months.
There will not be a revised iPhone4 in October or ever. You download the app to iPhone4 not 3 or 3GS.
MARK FORCED ME TO EAT IT. AT FIRST I WAS HESITANT BUT THEN I REALLY GOT INTO IT. NOW I CANT STOP EATIN THE STUFF. THANKS MARK. HUMAN FLESH IS AWESOME.
Wouldn’t a little nailpolish work?
What about for those of us who already bought a bumper case? How do we get our refund?
I already bought a bumper when I bought my phone, does it have option for refund or do I have to get a bumper?
@PhxDoc, @CrizzoDesigns — read my post above. When bought at the online store, the refund seems automatic without any action on the consumer’s part.
So I bought mine a couple of weeks ago at the apple store, with cash…wonder if I can go back in and get a refund.
@FutureMedia….
“Can’t download the app to my 3GS.”
Maybe because it’s an iphone FOUR case program?
Just sayin’
I want the real fix – a newly engineered antenna. I expect to be able to exchange my crippled model for one that works as promised by Steve Jobs himself during the over hyped launch at WWDC.
Expect the NEW iP4 to be available around the first of October.
Demand seems to be overwhelming the server. Having trouble connecting.
Ordered one here in UK, tried to get a case in Apple Retail Store yesterday to no avail. Ordered the ‘Apple Bumper Case’
My iPhone 4 reception is terrible.
If my 4.0.1 iPhone 4 is on my desk it has five bars, if I touch the antenna with one finger it can drop to four bars, and if I pick it up it drops to three or even two bars.
If I bridge the two antenna with my finger, the signal goes away; I dropped a call this afternoon because I had the phone in my left hand whilst talking and my hand accidentally connected the two, and … drop.
For some incoming calls my phone doesn’t ring, and then I get voice-mail — even though it displays five bars and its on the desk.

“Expect” all you want. It ain’t happening. If you don’t like the phone, RTDTAGYMB and STFU!
Just ordered the clear Belkin. Feel a little guilty since I’ve been trying to drop calls without success. I’m going into San Francisco tonight so I’ll try to drop calls again…

Why isn’t there an app to turn your black phone into a white model?
For people who don’t want to scratch up their phones, what are they supposed to do in the interim? Why not just hand them out upon purchase?
I usually get a skin to protect the phone but don’t need it if I’m getting a bumper. But the bumper could take a week or two to arrive – what are we supposed to do?
Stupid decision.
@ Bongo –
Actually, the App says bumpers will take three to five weeks to deliver.
In the meantime, you are free to use the phone as is, or buy another case you can pass along to someone else when you get your FREE case.
Some people are never happy.
P.S. I never got a case for my first-generation iPhone, and it held up just fine (even after dropping it on the ground a couple dozen times or so over the past three years). Did it get scratched? Yeah. So what? It’s a phone, not a priceless antique. Still worked great and looked great…
My OtterBox Defender case came today and it is awesome!
Get one!
@WriterGuy
It’s not a case of never happy. Logically, what good is a free case if you need to buy another case to protect the phone/improve reception until the bumper arrives in 6 weeks. It just doesn’t make any sense at all. The gesture of giving a free case becomes meaningless, both in terms of the cost if the case and the quality of the phone until it ships.
Wouldn’t it also be more economical and easier to implement if they just shipped mass amounts of bumpers to AT&T and Apple retail stores?
Having to go through an app and wait six weeks is ridiculous.
@WriterGuy
I don’t want to scratch upy phone because it increases the amount I can get when I decide to sell it. It might be a foreign concept to you but some people either don’t want to or cannot afford to waste money.
@ El Guapo
What’s wrong, may I ask, with wanting the phone promised by Steve Jobs?
I know with absolute certainty that those world class Apple engineers are working overtime in their $100 million labs designing a real fix for the faulty antenna.
A revised – meaning fixed – iP4 will be available in October. I will demand my crippled phone be exchanged and I will get it. Just watch.
@WriterGuy
Check and mate. Nice playing with you.
By the way, I researched all the free cases Apple is offering and I recommend the Belkin. Only the Belkin is 1/8th inch thick flexible clear silicon like protection all round the antennae plus the front edge so the screen won’t get scratched. All the rest are hard.
You can see all the choices at http://engadget.com article on the free cases including screen shots of the new Case Order app so you can see the eight offerings without having to own an iPhone 4. WARNING: Once you order your case, the app self-destructs so you can’t look at the choices any more.
So make sure you’ve studied it well and made screen shots for your photo library before you order so you can show others after you do.
So – Apple gives people another thing to complain about. 3 to 4 weeks to ship the bumpers? All well and good to give them away. But they really ought to find a way to get these things out faster than that or they may have a “bumper-gate” on their hands. Just wait. Not only that – but don’t forget, September 30th is the date they’re supposed have made a decision about a longer term course of action. The plot thickens…..
I got mine. It fixes the antenna issue.
Pick a color;

This is kind cool

I surrendered and bought the 32 GB iPhone.
I am in love!
Hey, what gives? I don’t see that program in my app store.
