“If you’d rather avoid the lines at Apple and AT&T stores on iPhone 4 launch day, you have options this year,” Erica Ogg reports for CNET.
“Wal-Mart said Friday that it will be one of several retail outlets that will have the iPhone 4 on June 24, its first day of availability anywhere,” Ogg reports. “While Wal-Mart has carried previous versions of the iPhone, this is a first that it will be for sale in its stores on the device’s official launch day.”
Ogg reports, “Wal-Mart is not the only alternative to Apple and AT&T, however. It’s rumored that Best Buy will have the device on launch day, and Radio Shack employees have begun telling customers they have also been selected to carry the device starting June 24.”

O love Walmart, too bad all the stuff there is made by Chinese slave labor.
The primary walmart shopper is everyone who can fog a mirror. It would be nice if apple could take some of that wad of cash and create American jobs. Americans are capable of producing them. Why not convert some closed factories and become known as the driving force in our twenty first century workforce. I bet sales would improve and our economy would also improve. For that matter, walmart should try and go back to a made in the USA philosophy of Sam Walton. We should be the masters of manufacture in the world. It’s time to level the playing field and stop being pussies. America needs to help America before it is too late. Back when Ike and all the way through Carter we were a creditor nation. Look at the tax system and understand why we have an infrastructure that we have and own. Once the Reagan tax cuts went into place the middle class got phuct and the rich became philthy rich. Clinton kicked the door fully open with NAFTA. weve been had by democrats and republicans. At least we expected it from bush, but obama follows the corporate line as well. The supreme court ruled that corporations can make unlimited donations. The middle class is screwed. Today the middle class gets the blame for everything while enjoying none of the benefits of their contribution to the system. So when you generalize that walmart shoppers are more democrat or republican probably depends on what precinct the walmart is in. Poor is poor and there are just as many trailers in the south with W stickers on them as with gore lieberman or with kerry or Obama. Walmart is typically distasteful to liberals who find Walsy to be a believer in workers rights. Just sayin.
