Apple also released QuickTime 7.6.6 for Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. More info here.
I like all this new stuff that Apple keeps coming out with.
I guess it all came on the 10.6.3 update.
Quicktime was already updated. All I needed was iTunes update.
Gotta update my Mac Mini G4 an iBook G4 then.
Curious. Why isn’t QuickTime 64 bit yet? At least on Macs. On Windoze it takes both 32 and 64 bit versions due to the archaic structure of that “OS.”
Rem.: The update is only for Leopard 10.5
But btw:
if you use the Apple MPEG2 component…:
In my case on Snow Leopard
Quicktime 7.6.6 cannot reproduce audio in MPEG2
Video.
Apple: the fact that Quicktime 7.x is still around is shameful, and the half-assed Quicktime 10 viewer is not the answer.
Please offer for a fair price Quicktime 8.0, a fully 64-bit basic video editing programs with VLC-like codec support and convenient interface that beginners can appreciate.
