I had major iPhone freezing issues, delayed/slow text entry, very slow MMS and had to restart my iPhone (Ver 3.1) daily. All issues went away after I “Reset All Settings” under Settings, General, Reset on my phone. All is awesome once again.
MY SINGLE BIGGEST MOST ANNOYING PEEVE WITH iPHONE OS 3: It changes the order of my playlists on the phone. This makes podcasts almost impossible to listen to because they’re out of order and I have to stop at the conclusion of each one to pick the correct file in order. Arrgh!!!
@LeftCoastDude
And you get your statical data from?… Funny, in my office, everybody has en iPhone, and guess what, 66% of us experienced the problem. Just look at the post hear. But if you want to sit around an Apple fire and hold hands with other cult followers, be my guest.
@LefCoastDude, one more thing since you seem to appreciate logic, why would Apple patch the iPhone software one month after the last patch, if more then 1 or 2% where one ones having the problem? So since your phone is not having the problem, don’t apply the patch, let see how long yours goes with out having this pervasive problem.
So far so good with this new update.
After the 3.1 update my 3G iPhone would be unable to wake from sleep randomnly, problem worsened up to a dozen times a day or more. Deleted the restore file in my User iTunes folder & restored the phone which helped, but still it would be unable to wake it from sleep once or twice a day.
Never had any battery issues like others reported.
306Mb?
That’s fucking silly!
A bit off-topic, but gotta share it:
I was on holiday last week in Turkey and a client mailed about a problem with their website. Long story short: I fixed the problem using only my iPhone using iSSH, Safari, VNC. Installing extra software on the webserver and stuff like that.
Okay, it took a bit longer than on my MBP, but man-oh-man the iPhone still amazes me after two years. What a FANTASTIC device!
And that was without the 3.1.2 update, so there….!
If it makes my GPS work properly again, I’ll be happy.
Also new versions of the SDK and xCode are out.

I agree. This update hasn’t fixed that either. It used to be perfect. Why did Apple screw with it?
