Apple dominates Which? desktop PC best buys

“Apple has scored highly in a recent Which? round-up of desktop PCs. The Which? Desktop PCs: Best Buys survey found Apple clean winners, beating well known brands such as Asus, Acer, Compaq, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Philips and Sony,” Nick Spence reports for Macworld UK.

MacDailyNews Take: It’s really not a very fair fight.

“Apple was awarded 94% in the ‘Customer score’ section, with Sony in second spot with 80 per cent and Novatech in third with 79%,” Spence reports. “The customer score is derived from owners’ overall satisfaction with their brand of computer and whether they would recommend the brand to a friend, says Which?”

“Under ‘Reliability’ Apple 85%, with ‘not available’ ratings for Sony and Novatech. Apple scored four out of five for ‘Support’ while Sony received two out of four,” Spence reports. “According to Which? – “Apple gets an impressive 91% in our customer satisfaction measure.”

  1. I had to look up Novatech. I’ve never heard of them before. Apparently they are doing something right if they are beating out HP and their ilk in customer satisfaction. It’s no surprise that Apple is on top. Their stuff isn’t perfect, but they stand behind it better than any other company I’ve dealt with.

  2. Obviously Which? is another outlet for MAC cultists, which is probably the #1 thing I can’t stand about MAC. MAC’s rabid fangirls who don’t know anything about computers, but everything about spending too much money for proprietary toys keep me a happy and satisfied Windows user. Take that, Which? dorks.

    Your potential. Our passion.™

  3. Zune Tang,

Your posts have gotten progressively more hostile. Is it that you are getting frustrated with your inferior technology? Are you looking longingly at the “MAC” and wishing you were cooler than Lauren so you could get one?

Come on over to the light, it’s calling you.

  4. For those of you who don’t know, Zune Tang is a Mac user. His whole act is satire. If you connect the dots properly you see it. Or if you have come to this site as long as most of us you get it. He/she is either TT, Chrissyone or Cubert. There are a few other posso’s, but those are me three favoraite candidates.

  5. Lauren and gang must have their panties in a twist. It’s OK ladies, too bad you can’t appreciate value, quality and style. Go back and back to pay more to MS and their partners-in-crime.

And Hello, Mr. Turner. You have time until Fall to get both your feet out. Don’t speak prophetically about any “single greatest phone call” and make fun of it.

This one right here must feel like the “single greatest slap on the face” all year! At least, it should.

  6. @aka Christian,

You think HP tech support is good? I admit it’s been about three years since I had to deal with them but they were worse than Dell back then.

Apple does do a great job with Customer Service.

  7. Costello: Who gave Apple 1st place in that survey?
    Abbott: Which?
Costello: The survey about desktop PCs?
    Abbott: Which?
Costello: The survey about desktop PCs?!!!
Abbott: I’m trying to tell you, Which? did
    Costello: That’s what I’m asking you…!!!

  8. We Mac heads have been financing almost 100% of all R&D;of personal computers.

I for one, don’t mind doing some charity for the brainless masses of sheep that buy non Apple computers.

“Zune Tang is a bellwether. And the (MSFT) barometer is falling!”

nothing to do with the weather, per se!

Wikipedia: Bellwether, the term is derived from the Middle English bellewether and refers to the practice of placing a bell around the neck of a castrated ram (a wether) leading its flock of sheep :-()

sorry! so sorry! I can’t, just can’t look at the name Zune Tang now without going baa ouch, baa ouch :-() oh help!
