“Pictured [top left] is the office of Alex Bogusky, the brains behind Microsoft’s new Laptop Hunter commercials,” Brian X. Chen reports for Wired.
MacDailyNews Take: “Brains?” How much intelligence did it take to come up with “Life Without Walls” as a slogan for Windows? (For the Windows sufferers who may have stumbled here from Google News or elsewhere: A “Life Without Walls” would necessarily preclude the need for “Windows.”) Unless, of course, Mac user Bogusky, is secretly trying to sell Macs instead. If so, he’s doing a fine job.
Chen continues, “Sure enough, those are two MacBook Pros sitting on his desk.”
“And pictured [bottom left] is the surrounding office space of the ad agency, Crispin Porter + Bogusky,” Chen reports.
“Yup, those are Macs, too. That could suggest the advertisements bashing Mac computers and users were themselves created on Macs,” Chen reports. “We’re not judging: Since when are ad agencies obligated to use the products they’re helping sell? We just love the irony.”

MacDailyNews Take: Before all of this started, we imagine Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer telling a group of underlings, “What we need is a top-flight ad agency that uses Windows PCs.” To which, after much stifled laughter, one brave, now newly-fired lackey immediately and without thinking replied, “Doesn’t exist. Uhh, sir! (and then, to himself under his breath, ‘oh shit.’).”
