“Apple has become the fourth biggest laptop manufacturer in the US – even as strong rumours predict the company will refresh its laptop range at a special event on October 14,” Jonny Evans reports for Macworld UK.
“Daring Fireball’s John Gruber last night claimed an insider source had let him know to expect the company’s new range of Mac laptops will be introduced at a special event on October 14,” Evans reports.
“Speaking of Macs, contrary to speculation, there were no announcements regarding new Mac notebooks. Such speculation was misguided; Apple has held an iPod/music special event in September or October every year since 2001, and, to my knowledge, has never once used such events to announce new Mac hardware. Those of you holding out for a new lineup of MacBooks will have to wait until October 14, according to sources who, as they say, are familiar with Apple’s hardware plans.”

“Burn Notice™”
When I first read that, I thought it said Bum Notice™. Now that’s an idea for a show!
” Apparently “Macboob” is a word in the iPhone dictionary.”
I think it refers to this guy.
Nick Fury: oooh BURN!
If I had better material I’d use it.
C’mon guys.
No-one’s asked about the new MacBook Areola ??!!
It’s not Macboob. It’s iTit.
A pair of breasts with integrated speakers. Why? Because women everywhere say men simply don’t listen to them. This should be a widespread best seller
It seems to me that ever since Apple’s switch to Intel, Apple has remained about six months to a year behind the rest of the computer industry in terms of hardware. HP and others are offering computers with faster RAM, better processors, plus newer & more powerful graphics — at less cost than Apple machines in the same class.
Yes, Mac OS X is a great operating system. But does the greatness of OS X outweigh the mediocrity of Apple hardware? For the basic computer user, Apple hardware is fine. But for many advanced/demanding computer users, Apple hardware simply isn’t good enough.
I read that there is top secret government research being conducted on combining nanotechnology and silicone breast implants. The enhancements are then used to hypnotize and interrogate enemy combatants and it’s getting plenty of support.
The test facility is located somewhere within Areola 51.
Ampar is back!. A suckle for pun-ishment.
@ Nick Fury.
Does the government have D-cup-a-bility?
Yes, but it’s a stretch. Of course, they’ve never had culpability. And for some weird reason they’ve got everything on floppies. It’s a top secrete issue.
(“A suckle for pun-ishment.” Nice!)
