Company jumps the gun, posts 4th-gen iPod nano images online

Along with images, Wrapprz.com is offering “skins” for “Apple iPod Nano (4th-Gen) Coming Sept. 9th” which — whoops! — haven’t been announced (yet).

More info here.

MacDailyNews Take: Uh, guys, about that “Made for iPod” application: Don’t bother.

  1. I agree with you “yawn”

    There really needs to be some additional functionality – otherwise it’ll be like TA-DAH! And there will be silence.

    However, I’m concerned about Apple breaking too much ground today, since we’ve all seen what happens when you’ve got too many balls in the air.

    They’re in a tough spot today … we shall see …

  2. The images in question are still up on Wrapprz.com. Is it because the product is “Made in Canada” that they were able to ‘jump the gun’, or is it that Yobbo on their front page that screwed the pooch?

    Under their section on ‘upcoming events’, today’s Apple event isn’t even mentioned. Maybe they never got the meemo? Who knows?

    Next up will be their take on the yet to be revealed, new MacTablet. (Dag! Did again!! Double sorry everyone, sorry…)

  3. Why would the owners of warpz.com be privy to exclusive, inside information from Apple about the shape and look of the next-gen iPods? As if warpz is such an important partner to Apple that they would just get all the info that Steve normally has employees shot on site for revealing.

  4. The site’s not down.

    @ChunkyB:

    I wouldn’t put much stock in that. Who knows what laptop image they were laying those skins on. Notice that they aren’t listed as “New Products;” only the 4G nano skins are.

    Not that I wouldn’t LOVE there to be new MacBooks today.

  5. ChunkyB: Did anyone else notice that all the macbooks shown (including 15″ and 17″ macbook pros) are black with silver keyboards. That’s bigger news to me than the ghetto new ipods.

    If you’re looking at the enlarged images you’ll see that it’s just part of the skin; Apple’s original silver screws are still visible, and Apple would absolutely never put silver screws into a black MacBook… ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
