there are some people who drive ford focus’s and some people who drive bmw’s… Guess which one you drive”

This is the typical Mac Fanboy nonsense. Macs and PC are almost identical inside. Yet you morons have yourselves convinced that “Apple can’t make junk”…. Well neither can anyone else. The problem with PCs is Windows, Period..

Unless you believe that Intel, ATI, and nVidia only sells the “good stuff” to Apple and ships their junk to Dell……

Let’s face it, you Mac Morons like Apple’s non expandable systems because most of you wouldn’t know a video card from a ROM chip. You have idea what’s inside a Mac. You only believe what “Steve Says” and Personally, I could care less what my desktop PC “Looks” like. It’s going to SIT there. If you feel proud to pay an extra $500 for an underpowered, non-expandable but “DELICIOUS” computer, you have more money than brains..

  2. @Fan, guess you drive a focus too… Oh ya, and G5’s are totally not expandable, give me a break… They may have some of the same components inside, but when the same company makes the hardware and the OS 99% of the bullshit problems go away… Have fun installing drivers over and over loser ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”raspberry” style=”border:0;” />

  3. Just sold my 2,5 year old iMac Core Duo for 700€ (common second hand market price in Europe – check out http://www.mac2sell.net/ ), thus, it means I can upgrade from a 17″ to a new 20″ adding about 500€ which is a bargain for a new up to date iMac every 2,5 years. I know this leaves you with a first investment of 700€, but imagine selling a 2,5 year PC box for that price, very unlikely.

  4. The TROLL call was sent out today worldwide. The emergency FUD button was pressed when Apple financials blew away expectations.

Zune Tongued In The Butt and his cohorts collectively sat on the Big Ass Table prototype with the Big Ass Red Virtual Button called FUD ALERT and sat on it! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

  5. I’m waiting on the version with a multi-touch keyboard. Seems reasonable that this would be in the line up at some point in the future. Basically same keyboard extended out in front to accommodate a touch pad.

Your response is fairly typical of a PC (stands for “piece of crap”). You know you are right about intel, ATO and nVidia. Absolutely good components.. but have you every tired to plug those things in without a motherboard or power supply or HD, etc? Kinda sucks.

Most (not all) PCs are built by the lowest bidder with the lowest priced components and that can have a few problems – on occasion.

“Almost identical inside” is the real rub. That small difference can mean the difference between PB failure because of a bad Power Supply or not. But with a 90 day warranty, what’s to worry. Your systems is so cheap (not necessarily inexpensive) you can buy three while my 3 year warranty keeps me hummin! And if I have a crapped out system – Apple replaces it – WITH A NEW CURRENT SYSTEM – not a POS from yester year!

Will Dell or HP do that for you without a class action suit. And you better hurry with your Dell -looks like they may be closing up shop.

Let’s see, I have a pretty “stock” machine – 7 TBytes of HD (4 external), Dual Quad 3.2 Ghz processors, 16 Gigs of RAM, 2 30″ monitors and a whole bunch of other stuff I do not even need to mention because you may not understand because it is Mac Stuff.

Does Apple make junk? Well, let’s see. I have had Apple products since 1983 – yep – long time. I have also had everything from an 8088 to the latest PCs today. And I can say by far apple products for the most part have served me well.

My curiosity is if you are such a PC Fan Beotch and love Monkey Boy and his PC BS so much why are you hanging out here? This IS an APPLE dedicated website. Sounds like OS envy to me.

In all of this we haven’t even mentioned VISTA… hmmm.

If you can’t afford to by Apple products and wish you could, there are second hand products you can start with. And they even look good.

  7. “Hey, 2.4% of the world agrees with you. Everyone’s wrong and you’re right!!!”

So, how’s groupthink working for you? Such a low self-esteem that you have to rely on “everyone else’s” action?

How typical and pathetic. Automaton loser.

Gosh I love it when POS users equate Volume with Quality! Let me see…if they sell the most they must be the best. I am pretty sure I’d rather have a Porsche 911 over a Geo Metro but I bet there are more Geo Metros on the road than 911’s.

Yo….wanker…..VOLUME does not equate to QUALITY

  9. OK, the source may be BS.
But AAPL has been pumping out refurb iMacs like mad over the last couple of weeks – and a big dealer here (we don’t have “official” Stores in this country) has started to offer “special deals”, which usually is a good sign that the shelves have to be cleared and something new is on the horizon).
I’ll have to see if the speed or feature increase is worth the money – else I might go with a previous generation refurb.
A MacMini with 4 GB RAM and ATI card all soldered together a la MBA would also be OK – I already have a big screen.
