$99 miShare device shares files and playlists between iPods; no computer or cable required

miShare is a smart little gadget for sharing files and playlists between iPods. No computer or cable is needed, and it’s easy to use. Just attach the source and target iPods and press miShare’s big button to start the transfer.

miShare is currently in production, with units promised to be delivered in time for Christmas.

The company is accepting pre-orders on a first-come, first-served basis and states on their pre-order page that they will not charge your credit card until they ship miShare to you.

miShare invites those interested in the product to sign their email list and they’ll let you know when miShare is available for purchase.

  1. This appears to be a cloning tool. What happens if the source iPod is bigger than the recieving one (classic to nano, for example). What gets transferred? Can you select?

    At least some of the functionality is addressed by Senuti and other utilities, although you have to use a Mac/PC with iTunes as an intermediary.

    It seems like a neat gadget. It will be interesting to see how it pans out – did they design this device with an Apple mindset?
