San Antonio-based ipodjuice.com, which has provided do-it-yourself Apple iPod battery replacement kits to the public for the past three years, has debuted their new iPhone battery replacement service.
“We have been following the release of the iPhone with great anticipation,” said Anthony Magnabosco, owner of Milliamp LTD (ipodjuice), in the press release.
Since the iPhone battery is soldered inside the case, it is extremely difficult for the average consumer to replace. ipodjuice.com technicians will open your 4GB or 8GB iPhone and replace the battery with a brand new one.
For $45 plus shipping, ipodjuice can install a new iPhone battery on the same day that it arrives and ship it back later that same day. “With a lower price and faster turnaround time, we believe we can offer a more valuable product and service,” continued Magnabosco.
As with their iPod batteries, ipodjuice.com’s iPhone batteries are guaranteed to last for ten full years from the date of purchase. “This will be the last battery that you will ever need to purchase for your iPhone for a decade,” said Magnabosco.

It appears that the sky is not, in fact, falling.
Drats! I wanted to sue Apple over it. Stop providing great services people!
That’s great as long as I don’t have to assault my battery.
what about upgrading the capacity? mmmm… 16GB iphone
WOW. This page required one hundred twenty-four URL lookups before it displayed completely. No wonder MDN is slow to load sometimes. One slow server and your page could be hung up for a while.
I just updated (expanded) my hosts file so it’s not as slow as it could have been.
Yuppers, I refuse to view MDN without the aid of AdBlock Plus. It’s just too painful otherwise.
BOOYA!
Wow, 10 years. Is this claim true? If so why aren’t these batteries in the ipod in the first place? Are they that expensive?
And the iPod/iPhone ecosystem gets still bigger.
That’s teh difference between Apple and the competition – Apple leaves room at the table for others.
There is no magic in their battery. They do not possess some new technology that nobody else in the electronics industry has.
The 10 year guaranty is only that, a guaranty. Their battery does not last any longer. They are just banking on the fact that most people will not keep their iPhone any longer than the original battery’s life span plus their replacement battery’s life span. For the very few people who do keep it that long they can easily afford to warranty it.
If they could do it….
Nice to see them jumping on the issue, I got my new ipod battery from them a while back and I highly recommend them, awesome service and products.
:o) Peace
